[Kurt is Ready. He has his allowance from the mansion, his image inducer is behaving, and he has a full hour before school.]
Alright! Breakfast Burger Gut Bomb, here I come!
[...Except there's a big line of people ordering breakfast combos. And he figures he can't just cut in line with teleporting... so he sighs and just impatiently taps his foot as he waits!]
[Pietro has appeared seemingly out of nowhere, to stand next to Kurt, and apparently offer him some empathy. Or, that would be the case, were it not for the fact that he has already (somehow) acquired a gut bomb, and is pointedly eating it in as much of a show off manner as one can.]
[Maybe one day he'll be used to Pietro appearing out of nowhere. But this is no such day, and he stumbles back in surprise for a moment, before he puts on a scowl.]
H-hey! That's no fair, man! You're breaking the rules!
[In order not to snap and break something - or someone - she had come to the park during the middle of a week day, when most people would be away. There were a few joggers and people walking their dogs, but no one who paid her any mind. The urge to punch one of the benches aside, there was a lot less here to set her off than she had thought there would be. Aware of the nearby people, planning to take them down even as she tried to focus on other things, she was strongly reminded of her childhood. But that was why she had come here: to see if she had gotten any better at controlling herself after all this time.
While it took considerable effort not to claw at anything, the playground equipment was free for her to use this time around. Unsure of how to properly utilize most of it, as that had not been part of her training, she sat down on one of the swings. Her enhanced strength made kicking off easy, but she was sure she was missing something. Whatever sudden euphoria the children she remembered had gotten from this was not coming for her, or at least it wasn't yet.
Still, this was as good an excuse as any to stay in the park and avoid the Institute and all of the people who she didn't know how to feel about, so she remained on the swings, attempting to grasp onto whatever 'fun' the activity was supposed to bring, despite a complete lack of progress.]

That's why I don't.

And what rules would those be, exactly?
no subject
You know! The rule of waiting for your turn. Of waiting in line!
[He gestures to the rest of the line.]

[He gestures to the line of people in front of Kurt.]
Everyone's doing it.
[I mean. Pietro didn't. He definitely went up and swiped someone else's order. But where's the fun in admitting that?]
